Two-wheeled emotions in the valleys around Sanremo. A land to explore by bicycle or e-bike, discovering Sanremo and the far western edge of Liguria, along roads and trails—sometimes with natural surfaces.

To get started, begin with the coastal cycle path, which runs from Imperia (to the east) along the coastline, passing through various seaside villages all the way to Sanremo and beyond. A stunning seaside route built on the old railway track. An additional section of the coastal cycle path connects the coastline between Bordighera and Ventimiglia.

The route is mostly flat and offers a unique experience for a day of sport and sea air, with rest stops scattered along the way where you can relax and take in the view. Usable all year round, this path is a fantastic option for everyone—from families to professional cyclists.

 

Approximately at the height of the cycle path, various routes toward the hinterland begin. These initially follow paved access roads, then transition to secondary roads or dirt tracks, forming inter-valley loops. These loops run mainly east-west along the coast, or north-south, following the internal mountainous terrain of this land, with final descents toward the sea to return to the urban coastal line.

A network of e-bike charging stations, makes these routes more accessible and suitable even for those who are not particularly trained, but want to explore a rich and stimulating territory.

These are sub-coastal routes, or itineraries that climb from the coast up to 1000 meters and then descend again to the sea—ideal for those who want to explore the far western part of Liguria more deeply and enjoy its natural, scenic, historical-architectural, and culinary heritage.
