SULLE ORME DELLA MILANO – SANREMO

In Sanremo, you join the coastal cycle/pedestrian path, which is now usable up to eastern Imperia. However, you exit near the former S. Lorenzo al Mare train station to ride a few dozen meters along the busy Via Aurelia and then start the climb to Cipressa (about 5.5 km long, with a 4% gradient). Back on the Aurelia road at the Aregai area, continue westwards. After passing Bussana, take a right to tackle the legendary Poggio climb (3.7 km long, with a 3.5% gradient), followed by the equally legendary descent down to Sanremo, where you reach the finish line at the end of the central Via Roma, thus completing the loop route.
