Description

From Bordighera (S. Ampelio roundabout), follow Via Aurelia eastward to Ospedaletti and then join the coastal cycle and pedestrian path to cross Sanremo and reach Arma di Taggia. Near the river dock, connect to the riverside cycle path leading to Taggia. There, take the S.P. 548 road which enters the Argentina Valley. After passing through the historic center of Badalucco, at the first junction turn left and follow the road north along the river until you reach Molini di Triora (elevation 456 m). After a stop for refreshments and water, turn left again and begin the challenging climb with wide hairpin bends (8.5 km long, 7.5% gradient) that leads to Colle Langan (elevation 1,125 m), the junction point between the Argentina and Nervia valleys. Continue left on the descent into the Nervia Valley (caution: narrow road with blind curves). Riding along the stream, pass through Pigna, Isolabona, and Dolceacqua, where you connect to the cycle path linking to Camporosso and then to the sea. Continue along the entire seafront cycle path heading east to return to the starting point.
