ANELLO DEI CASTELLI (VAL NERVIA)

After crossing the bridge (elevation 57.3 m above sea level), we head south and, just after the sports fields, take the paved road that climbs steeply to the left. The ascent continues (with very scenic views and cultivated areas) for about 8 km until reaching a small plateau where we encounter a junction leading to Apricale on the left. After crossing the T. Merdanzo valley, the picturesque village of Apricale (elevation 230 m) is reached after 5.6 km. We then continue downhill on provincial road no. 63, quickly arriving at the village of Isolabona and, turning left onto the main valley road, return to Dolceacqua.
