Description
The route starts from the old railway station of Arma di Taggia (altitude 5 m a.s.l.), from where you take the cycle path heading east, following it for about 2.5 km. Turning left, you’ll see a traffic light, and here, after crossing the Aurelia road, you take the road to Pompeiana.
You reach the village (altitude 150 m) and continue to the parish church and from there head west on the road which, after about 3 km, brings you to Castellaro (altitude 250 m). After a chicane between the houses, take the cobbled lane that crosses the beautiful historic center. Then continue on the main road until the first junction where you take a steep, low-traffic descent on the right that leads to the valley floor.
Once near the T. Argentina river, just before the bridge, turn left and follow the left bank along the cycle path heading toward Arma di Taggia. A few hundred meters after the railway underpass, the cycle path shifts to the right bank toward the sea. After passing under the old railway bridge, go right back up on the cycle path, returning to the starting point.
